Layout of the Hall    Latest news

WE HAVE DECIDED TO HAVE A SABBATICAL NEXT YEAR AND THE HALL WILL NOT OPEN IN 2011.
HOWEVER, WE SHALL STILL OPEN THE GARDEN FOR HERITAGE OPEN DAYS IN SEPTEMBER,
AND WE SHALL KEEP THE WEB SITE UP TO DATE

ARRANGEMENT FOR GROUPS TO VISIT

WINTER

Groups of between 15 and 25 people can bring their own drink and light refreshments and enjoy a relaxing visit to the building.

During the autumn and winter open fires light the hall and at Christmas it is decorated in the Tudor style and candlelit. The visit will include a guided tour dealing with its history, the Wood and Ramsden families, the furniture, and, for those interested, the appearance of the dark lady, the mischievous children and the footsteps in the kitchen!

As the object of the evening is make our visitors enjoy themselves we are happy to leave the format of the visit to them.

SUMMER

We can take groups of up to 50. We have plenty of space in the barn for refreshments. The tour will include the re-built Tudor garden.

SMALLER GROUPS AND INDIVIDUALS

We have received requests for tours from small groups, and from individuals who cannot come on Open Days. We are happy to accommodate these and there is a minimum charge of £50 that includes up to 5 people, and then £10 per person thereafter.

Please call 01484 430852 for further information, to discuss your requirements and to make reservations.
